getting some what?..... remind me!
Well I have a vague recollection of something really really nice. Although what I read in these trashy books sounds a lot better than what I remember.(well not all of it-I do remember some pretty noteworthy stuff) Hey maybe I should write my own book.

Pickup a new hobby - I dove head first into improving my golf game, and try to play at least once a week. It gets me out of the house, sitting at home alone, and gives me something to feel good about, even if its just a good golf shot every now and then.

I think finding something to get you outside is always a plus. I always feel my mood improve when I get out in the sunshine - play fetch with the dog, mow the yard, or take a walk.

Long walks, hiking, relaxing in the sun.

I want to go camping! We used to go camping but he took all the camping gear. All I have now is my sleeping bag.

When I'm feeling the blues from divorce I:

Go for a long, slow walk around the lake by my house.
Jump on the treadmill if I need to really get my head clear.
Work in my garden for hours(its huge!!!)
Read a good book.
Go shopping (only when I'm really feeling down).
And when all else fails, I put on some good 70's music and dance naked in the dark!!!! (Kidding, I dance barefoot.) Nothing like good old 70's disco music to lift the spirits!!

Cooking always helps me. For my summer school classes, I have to pack lunches (I am spoiled and accustomed to school lunches being free).

For tomorrow I made a couscous with mushrooms, shrimp, roma tomatoes. For the sauce I kept some of the broth from the above mixed up with fresh cilantro, fresh basil, lime and a touch of fresh mint. Then I put in some artichoke hearts and black olives. My side dishes I will have watermelon, soy nuts, fresh snap peas, and yogurt. (to drink I made a nice cold yerbe matte.

I am planning my other meals for the week.

call a friend or several and make some plans:
when i have a life the blues are gone. it's pretty much
only when i am drifting that i get down..
take a walk..
get lost in a good book
listen to music..anything from jazz to joni mitchell..
meditate/pray/know that the blues will pass

there will come a time when you believe everything is finished. that will be the beginning.

PR,

Did I read that you enjoy "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"?? That is one of my favorites, along with "Joe Dirt" and "My Cousin Vinny"!!!

You are lucky to have your son and your dog. I love being with my daughter more than anything in the world, and I miss my dog big time!!!
