MY husband has been divorced for 10 yrs. But she still makes our lives.....LIVIN HELL.
She hates that he is happy without her and cant seem to stop hounding him. The children are now done with high school.
She is an evil person and the child support system in Illinois is no help for the one whom has to pay. I just wish he could get out from under her.
In my opinion she was very abusive to my husband. Mostly mentally but, the courts dont care. She has really taken him to the cleaners.
We even feel she has stolen in the marriage but, have no proof. She has plenty on money and makes the children feel she doesnt and of course it is dads fault.
I pray for alot but, I am affaid the Devil has a good hold one her.
Well, I am just looking for ways to vent. So here's away.
Thanks for your time.

In Illinois, if the child is done with H.S. and over 18 he can file to have C.S. terminated. If the kids are not in school then it is over. You do not need further contact with her. If you wish to continue giving to the kids you can with out her in the middle.

I actually think they just need to reach the age of 18 (not over). Here is how it was stated in my settlement.:

Duration of Payments: The Husband's obligations under this paragraph shall commence upon the effective date of this Agreement and shall continue until the emancipation, as defined hereinafter, of the children in question:
1. The child attaining the age of eighteen (18) years or completion of a high school education, whichever later occurs;
2. The child maintaining a full time residence outside of the home of the Custodial Parent, exclusive of the child's residence at a secondary boarding school, camp, or similar facility;
3. The child obtaining full time employment, exclusive of the child's employment during school vacation periods;
4. The child marrying;
5. The child entering the Armed Forces; or
6. The death of the child.
