This book will focus on the rights each spouse has under certain laws, situations, and circumstances, and how the division of the property will be decided by the court or through negotiation.
We were supposed to have a motion hearing Fri Aug 1, and the judge decided to make it a paper only hearing (she decided what would happen without actual arguments) so we didn't have to go to court.
She put the divorce back to default status since stbx hasn't complied with ANY paperwork since his initial contesting in Jan. She allowed stbx's lawyer to withdraw from the case. Stbx isn't allowed to enter any more discovery in the case.
So, I get to write up my requested equitable distribution, visitation, and everything. we have to send it to stbx by Aug 15. He probably won't answer since he returns all his court-related mail. I'm guessing if he doesn't respond, the judge will grant me my requests if they are reasonable. I forgot to ask my lawyer what would happen if stbx does respond. hmmm.
Anyway, it's about the best outcome I could have asked for. My divorce hearing is scheduled for Sept 22!!
Yes. Kgrow. That's a good way to put it. Warming my heart - which has been extremely frigid for the past 16 months! If I give him enough rope, maybe he'll hang himself, too! (not literally - well, maybe.)
BTW, your wife is quite daft forgetting about the kids' physical exams. I hope it all works out.
