yes, I hear a lot that courts have an incentive for not doing 50/50 because then the money for programs such as CSE and court appointed professionals, in additions to the lawyers, keeps rolling in. Ive heard of or moms given the raw end of a custody even when there are no allegations of abuse or violence, and when both parents are gainfully emplyed with stable homes How can a judge decide on that. Its a tough job i bet

Since judges are immune to prosecution regarding their decisions, and family law is loosely written so the identical situation can have have completely different results and still fall within the scope of the law, I suspect it's pretty easy. In essense, with the way things are set up, the judge is always right according to the law, except in the very rare instance where an appeal is successful.

thats so sad. and to think, most judges are lawyers who used to be in private practice. the master in my case is a former divorce attorney.
My first judge sucked. He was old and just flat believed a guy should be out making the money and mom should be mom. Fathers for equal rights said he was the worst judge in all of north texas. Second judge was a divorced mom of two and ruled in my favor. I think she was fair but thats just my side. New judge I do not know yet but at least he assigned someone to give a recommendation this time. That should have been done 10 court dates ago.
