Husband just moved out. We do not own any property we only have credit card debt. Does it matter if some of the debt was only in my name and some only in his name? Since it was debt the accrued during the marriage, aren't we both responsable for it 50/50? I want an easy clean divorce. Split the bills in half and give me the legal amount of child support.
I'm new to this, but have a question on this topic. My husband and I have been seperated for one month after 22 years of being together and I havent worked in 10 years (stay at home mom) he says after I get a job I have to help out w/ the bills and pay my credit card payment and my car ins. Right now I am only able to make about $800/month. I have 2 kids to take care of, I live in the house and also kept the dogs. So how am I suppose to pay bills w/ my pay and right now hes only giving $75.00/week? Is there a law or something that says he left so he has to pay till we sell the house or what? Have either of your actually filed for divorce yet?
You need to provide additional information such as his current income and the income you could make if you went back to work full-time. What was your career prior to being a SAHM? Are you two still living in the same house?
In IL, if you are the custodial parent, he will need to pay you 28% of his net pay in child support. I am going to guess that is far more than $75 a week. You may even be eligible for SS.
