Last year I went through a divorce and my experience has motivated me to help support others going through it. I will be facilitating a peer support group for divorced/separated women in the fall of 2008. It will be held in Manchester and begins in September (registration deadline is August 30th). My goal is to provide a forum for women to share their experiences, support one another, and move through the grief process as it relates to divorce/separation. I will be facilitating the discussions and will not be offering professional counseling (as my degrees are in nursing).
Some of the topics we'll talk about are grieving the death of a relationship, stress, self-esteem, fractured families, and forgiveness.
The group will meet bi-weekly on Wednesdays from September 10th to November 19th from 6:30pm to 8pm. Women at any stage of the process are welcome!
