Without a lawyer -in the process of a divorce. My soon to be X said it would be nasty - and for absolutely no reason, it is growing to that state. My question: I've been served matrimonial interrogatories, and the very last question is :Identify any statements, information and/or documents known to you and requested by any of the foregoing interrogatories which you claim to be work product or subject to any common law or statutory privilege, and with respect to each interrogatory, specify the legal basis for the claim as required by Illinois Supreme Court Rule 201(n)". Can you tell me what this means?
What the heck? Why can't they use terms that normal people use. The question isn't really clear as to what they want you to answer. Is your x trying to sue you or have allegations against you like gambling, drinking dumb crap. Don't answer that until you get some legal counsel or just ask the court to explain this to you. Do you need witnesses or something for something he did?
Thanks for your help. Before receiving your message, I had mailed the interrogatories. I will ask the court about that. You hit the nail on the head - x is attempting to use anything and everything he can think of or in some cases-make up, to discredit me. I would love to have witnesses for his infidelities (like his current fiancee), etc., but I'm at the point that I could really care less - just want this to end! Not so anxious that I'm willing to give up on some of my requests. As far as I know, he's not suing me, but is determine not to pay maintenance or pension.
I am in the proccess of doing these horrible papers also even though he hasn't returned his , it's past due by a month. True to form he is never accountable or on time. I know he is after my inhertiance which I have invested with a personal banker. I can't stand doing these interrogatories, I have to walk away or else I'll scream! Ihope he can't use my information before I have his!
