If Im paying straight MA guidlines and Im now unemployed, can I make the adjustment to the guidlines without the courts involvement? What if I've been paying over the guidelines for 3 months, can any of that be retro to what the guidline amount should have been?
Sorry, you can't go retro. That goes for the both of you. The unemployment situation can be a bit tricky. You won't be able to get away with declaring a 0 income. You'll get some relief but you'll have to negotiate an "imputed" income for yourself.
Thanks Kgrow...What a nightmare. Would you beleive she stashed our 20k savings, was awarded 100% (10K) of our joint tax filing last year and was just awarded a 10K equity line to help with the mortgage on our house....Im looking through furniture for change and chosing between gas or food each week.....While of course giving her $600 per month....Ahhh what a system....ITs quite a raping to take but I chose her....Thanks for the info...
