My lawyer sucks... He does the bare minimum and barely talks to me or returns phone calls. I'm currently trying to restrict visitation but don't know where to start. I would like to find a better lawyer, any suggestions?

A bit of background: I have a daughter who is just over a year old. My ex was abusive, physically and verbally. He smokes pot. He is constantly harrassing me. He makes very little effort to interact with our daughter, although I am living in another state now, he signed consent for this. He has mental problems, either bi-polar or he's manic... he won't get actual help but he has been seen by professionals and was on some kind of mood stabalizing, impulse inhibator drug. He was also arrested several times last year. I know, what a winner... I'm never going to be living in the same state as him and I don't feel like it's apporpriate for him to have her for long periods of time.

Please help!

where are you ! remember this! being bi-polar or manic is not the problem, he is just a bad guy. There is a good chance your child might have bi-polar disorder if he has it....and it's mental health not mental problems...sorry you have to deal with a jerk. Let me know were your at and maybe I can help with a lawyer. Take Care and all the best
