Doesn't matter what they are - there are no grounds for divorce by adultery in IL. You just have irreconcilable differences. Adultery isn't even considered in child custody.

Sorry!

But adultery is a crime accoriding to "720 ILCS 5/11-7". So cant you get caught on that? (jail and/or fine)?

Might be a crime, but no judge wants to hear about it. Sorry - it is a moral crime for sure, but the courts don't get involved in that.

So there is no way to prosecute someone for adultery even as a crime? Also is it worth my time involving the "other" person in the case? Would that be of any benefit? Thank you.
