Hi Iam a mother of two children one from previous marriage and one from present marriage. But I need some advice on what to do about my 1st husband carrying insurance on my first child? He is very verbal abusive to me and he knows that his words hurt me. I'm having some issues with him not wanting to pay for dental bills and doctor bills. I do have insurance but he doesn't I would like to know if this is right or if I should push the issue of him having insurance for our child. I'm not sure what to do about this.I want what is best for my first child. I'm trying to make this easy on him but I have a feeling its going to get ugly in the end?? Any Help would be appreciated!!!
Ok I need some more info. First you say you have insurance are you saying the child is insured by you already? Second when your child support was set up it should have been included in the formula that you are paying the medical. I am a non-costodian parent and I have to pay more child support because my Ex pays all medical for our child. I don't have insurance myself and she gets it from her work so it works out better this way.
Without more information I would say do your best to work this out without going to court. My thinking by what you wrote is that your EX is bitter about you and if you take this to court his bitterness will not get better. This will probably do more harm to your child then good. I am not telling you to give up just find a common denominator that works the best all the way around without fighting or at least fight as a last, last resort. Maybe if you can work this all out where everybody wins he will realize what you are doing and maybe he will be more willing to work with you on your next fire.

Hi Mike..I still need to get a life..got my computer time and I'm finally going to bed....I'm glad i'm not the only one posting everywhere..I think we are actually helping people..how's wash'tn these days!!!
Your parenting plan spells out just who is supposed to provide insurance. Read it if you have one.
Also, I have been going through this same problem for years and frankly nothing works that I have found except a friendly little note saying (after months of waiting) that I will be filing in small claims court for x dollars in x days if the payment in full is not recieved. It works great.
