How do we split pending lawsuit????

Hi, I am have been married almost four years. We are in Georgia now. We do not have any children together. We no longer live together. He moved out on Friday April 7. I am going to file for divorce as soon as possible. My husband has a pending lawsuit in the state of Georgia from a work-related incident. My name is not on the lawsuit though. The incident happened nov 2 2004, and the lawsuit was filed august 2005. Am I entitled to half since everything happened while we were married? Please help me with this. Or if you know of an attorney who could help me and get paid when I get my share of the lawsuit. Right now I am working hard for hardly anything. Thank you for your help.

Yes, you get half. You will need to go consult with a family lawyer. He'll/She'll most likely do this pro-bono once the facts and payouts are determined. You do need counsel, though. Call Jenny McCloud in Douglasville, GA. She's awesome. She'll get you steered in the right direction.
