Last night we started fighting again about the same thing, even before I left work for the day. I got home and we screamed some more. He left, so I packed my bags and went with the kids to my dads.
Now he wants consuling, something I asked for months ago. I know I can't go back right now because we are just not in a place were we are good for eachother.
What is the worst to me is that when I left I didn't feel upset or emotional, all I felt was a peace with myself. Like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. And that makes me sad.

I hear you. Think of it like this. You have the weight lifted because you are not getting yelled at, not because you don't love him.
Take a few days but do go to counselling. Do everything you can do to fix this. If it doesn't work you will know it is not your fault. Be honest with yourself though. Stay with your dad for a while do not hold the kids from dad but take some time and fix your marriage.
Keep me informed.
Sorry about your fight. At least it is a step in a direction.

Update: Hubby went to the doctor today because he says he realized he has issues. It's a big step for him to go to the doctor. The doctor believes he might be bi-polar and he will be getting counseling and meds.
I have talked to him several times, today as he is trying to decide to take the meds, because they have a chance of dependency and he already has alcohol issues. I let him know that if there is ever a chance for us, however slim, he needs to work on himself and work out those issues before we can more foward.

Sometimes I amaze myself lol
I new it was depression but bi-polar? I hope you can work things out. I am losing faith in marriage and would really like boost from people of he vows. I know a lot of pressure, but if you guys make this work that will be awesome.
Please take it slow. I am glad that he is finally taking the step. That is what you wanted right? Right?
Help him. You will be rewarded I promise.
He will be there for you when you fall.
Keep in touch.

If your husband does have bi-polar disorder he will have to be on medication FOR LIFE. There is no cure, only treatment. It could take trying several or a combination of medications to find what is right for your husband.
I know it will be a difficult time for you both while the doctor is trying to find the right medication.
I wish you the best of luck. Roxanne
