What town are you in? My lawyer has been really good but they are all so busy and when you think you really need to know something and need to know what to do and they never seem available, or they have to call you back and never do I have this w/ each lawyer I have delt with.
I need help knowing what kind of things to ask for in the divorce I don't know exactly and am nervous that I am not asking for the right things? Please help.
I don't live in Maryland I live in Georgia and the laws are probably different. Their usually isn't a wrong answer you are not a attorney, you don't know the laws and your not supposed to know them all. If there are children envolved ask about child support payment and visitaiton. If their is property- how is it to be divided and personal property always goes to the person it belongs to, filing taxes---who files if their are child who gets the custody and the times. Vehicles who get what. Alimony in some cases. You can acually get info from the internet on some questions you may have for your state and alot of attorneys give free consultations so they can help with a lot of questions you may have the attorneys who doesn't give free consultations usuall don't have time. Try a smaller firm they usually have alittle more time to answer your questions.
I live in Southern Maryland and I have a monster of an attorney, he is ruthless and can get you what you want as long as you know what you want, but you have to be able to pay the price. He runs $200 an hour. I like him a lot!
