Hello, I am involoved in a state removal for my daughter and have been able to get an out of court settlement where my daughter's mother can move but is confined to an area and Illinois retains jurisdiction so I can be fully involved in my daughter's life. My daughter's mother now wants to get a contibution of her legal fees of 15 thousand. The judge said "no" since I do not have the where withall to pay that. She is now wanting to tap into my home's eqiuty to get me to get a loan to pay a contributiom. Even though the judge said that it is very dougbtfull, her attorney will seek it. Where can I please find information to see the limitations for that home equity contribution she is seeking especially since it is my home and I have paid all mortgage payments and repairs and she never paid a dime. I need help in determining sources that will stop this. Thank you...

If it was your home before the marriage and you are the only one on the deed...she can't do a thing...but you will have to prove that...you might have to get some advice from an Attorney...if you cannot pay...find a legal aide service in your area..look in phone book..or call a shelter....they could possibly give you some help...
