How long after a divorce was filed does the other spouce get the notice? My husband left me last weekend and his mother told me he plans to get a divorce and had even been to the city hall. He filed for a restraining order last tuesday, so I figured he would file for divorce the same day if thats what he wanted, I got the restraining order on Friday, so I was wondering how long it takes to have divorce papers served.
