My husband filed for divorce 2 wks ago. I was served last wk. He filed a no-fault/without an attorney. However, we acted as husband and wife in all aspects until he left 8 days after filing papers. Up until he left, he continued to conduct business with me as usual, as well as sleep in the same bed/proclaim his love, etc. His papers/notification of my being served all come to our home, yet he's no where to be found - I'm not trying to find him, either. No court date is on the summons, so I do not know when to report. I also haven't signed the petition, b/c I do not agree with it and know he's going through a mid-life crisis. Property/debt is involved. I was told his petition could be voided or thrown out. Is this so? I plan to obtain an attorney soon, b/c I do have proof of an alleged affair (email/cell phone records, etc.) and expect to keep my home.

If you've were officially served, the divorce can go on without you. The affair is legally irrelevant.
