Wife absent -- important question

Ok. She said she wanted a seperation and a divorce. Gonna be a while til we can afford two places. She was gone all of last weekend. all of the fourth. and now this weekend. I'm talking as soon as I enter the door until the early am's on monday actually. This last time she took the youngest of our 3 children. The first 2 times she left all 3 with me.

I want to say something, but I'm beginning to wonder. If this continues for a couple months. I mean gone all weekend without the kids, would that help me in keeping the kids? How much would she have to be absent for it to matter? At least show instability, I'd think.
