Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!
There are very few states that would recognize a common-law marriage. Beyond that, I don't believe China recognizes or enforce any U.S. family court ruling. Even if an order could be procured, it could not be enforced.
