Can an adulterer file for divorce?

I have been married almost 10 years but it took me the last 7 years to tell my wife that I want a divorce. This was 2 months ago. I have never cheated on my wife. But, during the separation, I have met someone. To my surprise, I had no idea that this was considered adultery until I found out today.

Can an adulterer file for divorce? If not, what are my chances to get a divorce at all? Please help as I'm desperate.
