My husband and I are going thru a nasty divorce. The other day he stated that I could not get spousal suport because we were not married long enough 6 1/2 years so far. I am on Socail Sec. and get 494.00 per month and with his pension and working he makes over $4000.00 I have been on social security since the time we got married. Is there such a law in Minnesota that states how many years you must be married before you can ask for spousal suport?
