A friend just went through an ugly custody battle which he lost. His attorney whom he paid an exhorbent amount of money for a case which should have been a slam dunk is closing her practice. Does he have a right to his files and evidence she collected on his behalf. He has not even gotten a copy of the divorce decree or other docs (ie: financial statments, support order, etc.) which I belkieve he should have full access to considering the amount of money he paid. Aren't the files and evidence his?
