Went to an attorney to start divorce process. A month has passed & she *still* has not contacted me to come in to sign my papers so they can be filed with the courts (I have called 3 times). I think this an excessive amount of time & I need to get things moving *NOW* (for reasons not explained here) & I have already wasted a precious month waiting on her. Is this a "normal" amount of time to wait between contacting the attorney w/ information & actually getting it filed? And can/should I: A) get my money back from her in order to go to another attorney to get things moving faster & B) if & when things get filed, how long do I have to wait in Ohio for the final decree if it is uncontested (what are the file/wait/appear in court/etc. steps & times if any)? Reason for divorce - willful desertion of 3+ years. Thanks to anyone who can help me out here.
