Always talk to a lawyer first. Many separated spouses date before they divorce. However, there are many things to consider. You could be cited with alimony as well as child support. I am a school teacher, but my ex tried to find a reason for getting alimony. She wrote our mutual acquaintances and tried to get them to say something bad about me so that she could get alimony. Remember, be as Machiavellian as possible. She will be. If you have a high income and are an aulterer, then you are a prime candidate for alimony. Having been through this I am familiar with a spouses vengeful ways. Believe me, women will go for the throat in a divorce, using the kids as weapons, and going for the maximum in court. Don't trust them. Take care of yourself by using a tough lawyer. Quit running around, unless she is, and start counselling with an attorney. Prepare for the worst and you won't be so shocked. Consider the kids, also, if you have any. Remember, she will use the kids against you. This will be pure hell.
