Just go to the court house and fill out the forms for DV see a judge, its that simple. If you have children it will affect them for the rest of their lives. You should just stay away from this person. Be warned the emotions will be at its highest. DV are as easy to get as getting up out of bed. If this person is truly abusive, go for it.
