I've heard that if the payer of child support has the kids a certain percentage of nights above what the court set (at the time of the divorce) then the child support can be adjusted. Example: My ex has primary custody so she has the kids 2/3rds I have them 1/3. I give her roughly 1/3 of my income to make up for the extra time she has them. If I have the kids 1/2 time is that reason enough for the court to adjust the child support payment.
