Divorce Support Forums: Help

Hello all. I live in Indiana and married my wife in 2001. We separated in January of 2004. No children involved and we have basically taken on our own debts over the past 4 years. She has been through 4 or 5 different guys and has been in and out of rehab for narcotic abuse. Now she is saying that before the divorce is finalized that she wants me to be responsible for half of her medical bills she has incurred over the past 3 years. She has been in and out of the hospital for various reasons. Half of them I’m not even sure they were real and I think she was going for the drugs. I have dated 1 girl and she is fully aware of the situation and is 100% behind me. We are wanting to move on with our lives so I filed the divorce paperwork two days ago. Are these medical bills going to drag this divorce out?
