I actually had to do the opposite... I wasn't able to file for bk until my divorce was final. Otherwise, I would have had to to a joint bk or have my ex sign off on everything and there was NO way that was going to happen.

Are you filing together? Or just you? If it's just you, I think you have to flip flop them...
