HOw do I get stbx's attorney to deal with me when representing myself?
Had a lawyer and we were going back and forth w/ judgement of divorce papers (have not officially signed the papers to have him discharged as my attorney)- how do I continue on with this myself. Do I just go ahead and type up the judgement of divorce papers myself and fax them over to his attorney and continue on back and forth like that until we come to an agreement?
Does he have to deal with me if I am representing myself?
STBX's attorney will not agree to mediation until I offically discharge my attorney. I want to discharge him and do this myself by going to mediation but if things don't work out and mediation does not work I don't want to be left without representation. I feel like his attorney is backing me into a corner. Is there a legal reason why I would have to discharge my attorney before he would agree to mediation?
Can I get a mediation court ordered? Do I need to file a motion in order to do this?
