Waiting on him...

STBX is stalling, saying he will have money to pay in September. We're trying not to use attorneys. He owes $22,500 to me but is "trying to scrape it up". He can't get a loan.......over his head in debt....no assets. Is it to my benefit to wait? Or is he up to something? Can "waiting" be to his benefit? We've been separated 2 months. I'm just feeling a bit paranoid :(
