my question is im acttive military will have 20 yr in dec 08 me and my wife are going to be getting a divorce we will have 20 yrs of marriage on 27 march 2009 i have requested my fleet reserve to be on 31 march 2009 so that she will fall under the 20/20/20/ rule my question is if we set up everything now threw her lawyer as the finial divorce date in april 09 and fill all paper work out and sell the house so that in apr 09 the divorce will be done will this mess up the 20 20 20 rule cause we dont live together and our boys are 18 and over she would like to go back home and this way we can each afford to get our own place reed advice i dont want to mess her out of the benifits she deserves putting up with the millitary for this long with me
