I don't hate men. I don't even hate my ex. I feel sorry for him. And I feel sorry for you. Bitterness must be very hard to live with. It can be overcome when you decide you want to.
And, yes, to a degree I repeated my mother's mistake. But I got out a whole lot sooner than she did. And, fortunately, my kids will have help with having to go through witnessing assaults. And will have learned, by my leaving like I did, that DV is wrong.
Just like JWM's kids learned that domestic violence is not acceptable, when their mom called the cops on her stbx when he assaulted her.
Of course, JWM has stated that his stbx has hit him. Guess he stuck his kids with that, huh?
