Okay, so this 4th of July weekend technically falls on my ex's weekend...However, our parenting plan states that we will alternate holidays. Whether you look at it as last year his father had him for the 4th or the last holiday being Memorial day (which his father had him as well), this should be my holiday. Also, my birthday is Sunday, July 6 and our parenting plan also states that the respective parent shall have our son on our birthdays. Therefore, the only day for his visitation would be Saturday, July 5. I have a camping trip planned with my brother, his kids and wife and my parents, which I had expected my son to go to as well. He is refusing to let me take my son because it's "his weekend". I have asked him if he wants to keep our son for the week from Mon till Thurs morning when we are leaving for our trip and he will have our son the following 2 weekends. Just to be difficult he is saying no. Would it be wrong of me to just go? I mean technically and legally it is my holiday and my birthday. I am trying to be reasonable and allow him time with his son for the week before we go, but he is refusing. Any advice would be great. Thank you!
