Unlike child support, spousal support is often very difficult (if not impossible) to modify after the divorce is final, so getting it right the first time is a must!
I know that the decree say for life but isn't it the same when you go into marriage you expect it to be for life. I feel that even though it says life that it can be interpretative as a set number of years as is with lifetime warranties which really have set number of years and not if someone lives to be 100 years old.
