There for both, cut the cords for both. 1st on was the typical 4th trip to the hospital with "labor" really expected to be sent home, it was our routin. She was in terrible pain, the Dr. that was donig the tap ... well I think he was still an intern because he kept missing whatever he was trying to hit. Then by the time he got it right well she was in heavy labor and the drugs didnt have time to take effect. My hand finally recovered about the time my son started sleeping through the night. I am still in shock that they not only let us take him home, but rather insisted we did. Did they not know we had absolutely no clue what we were doing? The manual for raising children seemed to have gotten lost because we hadnt gotten ours yet.
My daughter was early and a surprise, it was the last day of the month which for me is the goal line of a month I work 30 days for the results of 1. So it was a shock when I got the call and walked out of the office, for some reason I didnt think about work that day. After she was born I spent the next 3 days getting no sleep between running to the hospital and then back home to finish painting and prepping her room. Go home paint, go to the hospital while that lcoat dried, go home paint, go to the hospital while it dried, go home put togther a crib, go to the hospital...well you get the idea. But in the end it was the perfect lil princess room and pink with pale green accents. A huge carosel mural on the wall with her crib.
Anyway those are my stories.
