That would all depend on the state's child support guidelines. Some states don't take parenting time into consideration at all.

And even in 50/50 physical cases, if there is a huge disparity in income, there may be child support ordered. Child support could also be ordered in cases where the incomes are similar to reimburse the parent who is paying for the childcare or health insurance.
