Divorce Support Forums: will the military be on his side?

I have to be honest. My ex husband was in the Marines. He committed adultery, many times (I found out after the fact) and was never around.

I went to JAG to help with the divorce, they treated me like crap, like I was the bad one, not the victim. His CO wasn't any better, treating me horribly, calling me names behind my back, etc.

If you want to be treated fairly, or are afraid of being treated like the one who did wrong, you may want to stay away from JAG.

If there are a lot of issues to be settled, you should get a civi lawyer. If not, I suggest using the online preparation services. A friend of mine used this kind of service and she said it went really well. It was easy and cheaper than a lawyer.

I guess they have a legal staff that completes all the paperwork for you, then you take it to the court to file it. Maybe worth looking into.... hope its alright for me to do this:

As far as getting help, there are plenty of county programs to assist you: Food stamps, WIC, cash assistance, etc. Contact your local city hall to see how you can apply for these. Don't be afraid to take the help, that's what its there for!
