I am recently in college myself and from my understanding she is own her own and you shouldn't have to pay for her college and neither does the dad . If she gets the Pell or Hope Grant--if your state has it-- then you have nothing to worry about. Since she is out on her own she can fill in the form for the grants and her college should be paid for. She needs to talk to the financial aid dept. at her school and she needs to tell them she is on her own and the college should be paid with the exception of her books. Don't let them tell her she has to use yours and/or your X's income, it needs to be based on her income whether she has a job our not. That is the way it is in Ga. it might be different in Ohio. What has she done to make you think she can sue you. If her aunt is not paying for nothing she needs to keep her mouth shut and let you and your X deal with your daughter future. If it has nothing to do with her.
