My ex-wife married her divorce attorney. This is the most frustrating thing. She is a very vengeful person. This marriage was obviously a rebound for both of them. I've never seen a more unfair system in my life. We originally went to a mediator and came to our agreements. One of which, was my child support. When my ex-wife decided to leave my daughter and me back in 2002 to have an affair with someone in NY, I got some legal advice from Lutz law firm. Bad mistake, bad information. Anyway, we were taking care of my grandmother with pay, from my parents so I could go to school. It worked for 1 1/2 yrs until she left. My point is that I had no income at the time of the divorce. I attempted to get my old job back and with the advice of the Lutz law firm I ended up leaving. My child support was set at $400 a month in the temporary orders for being voluntarily unemployed. So, in mediation it was agreed upon that when I got my job I would bring this back and have it adjusted because I new a first year pilot doesn't make very much. Well, I did attempt to have it adjusted and she and her new husband(Divorce Attorney), took it as if I was sueing them or something. They made up stuff I never heard of that happened in our life and the commissioner wouldn't even look in my direction except to say that I was lying about the amount of income I was making. I had check stubs, a notarized letter from the HR department, etc. Never listened to a word I had to say. He then ordered to RAISE my child support due to the fact that I was voluntarily under-employed. And claimed I was acting in bad faith. This was all arranged and agreed upon by my ex-wife and I in mediation. What in the world is wrong with this system? I had never missed a child support payment, or acted in bad faith about anything. My ex-wife wanted an address that didn't exist, she was claiming that I moved which I was only staying in a crash pad on flights and the judge ordered for me to pay $250 a day for every day I didn't give her the address. I finally had to make one up. Completely rediculous. My ex-wife always has to have a cause or conflict with someone. And 2 or 3 times a year it starts up with me, right now it is me. I pay on top of my $500 a month child support, expenses ie: medical insurance, doctor bills, education, tutoring, etc. Also, while my income was down she decided my daughter needed to go to a tutor at $50 a pop 5 days a week for months and expected me to pay this without consulting me. I told her, I couldn't afford it and she says, "what is your lawyers name so I can file against you?". I have been paying all expenses 6 months at a time and now, she is angry as usual but at me again and is bringing up tutoring expenses from 2 years ago. Her and I agreed only verbally mind you, that I didn't owe this back then because I never authorized it and thought is was a waste of money, I couldn't afford it and the public schools offer it for free. Anyway, now she is wanting to bring me to court over this. I'm not sure how some people live with themselves.
Well, anyway. Thanks for listening and if you have any comments please don't hesitate. Thanks again.
