Does alternative dispute resolution only work between two people? What if three people have a dispute?

No, ADR is not only for disputes between two people. Three or more parties can participate. Keep in mind, however, that the more parties and viewpoints involved, the more complex the dispute is likely to be. This doesn’t mean that it cannot be solved through ADR, just that it may take a longer period of time. How can there be more than two people in a divorce dispute? Grandparents and older siblings often can get involved. Keep in mind that in a court of law these individuals may not have many rights, but under ADR, they may have much more influence in the actual outcome of any decision.
