Idaho Grandparent’s Rights
Grandparent Rights to Visitation: Visitation may be granted when the grandparent has established a substantial relationship with the child. Title 32, Section 32-1008 (I.C. §32-1008).
When Adoption Occurs: Adoption terminates all rights.
Child Custody Statutes: Best interest of child considering: (1) wishes of parties; (2) wishes of child; (3) interaction and interrelationship between the child and parties, siblings and other significant persons; (4) adjustment to home, school and community; (5) mental and physical health of all persons involved; (6) need to promote continuity and stability in the child’s life; and (7) any history of domestic violence. I.C. §32-717.
